We cut the box to your pillar's actual height and diameter. A snug diameter stops the candle from sliding side to side, and a properly matched height keeps the top of the wax from taking impact against the lid every time the box gets moved or stacked.

Pillar candles are top-heavy for their footprint, so extra room at the base is what actually causes tipping in transit. We build the base of the box to hold the candle's footprint snugly, which keeps it upright and steady rather than rocking loose inside extra space.

For candles sold as sets, we divide the box into individual compartments so each pillar has its own space. Packed loose, pillar wax scuffs against its neighbors during shipping — a divided layout keeps that from happening.
