What if my product doesn't fit any of your standard cosmetic box categories?

That's exactly what this option is for. Rather than adapting your product to fit a pre-set lipstick, jar, or palette template, we start from your product's actual shape and build the dieline around it — unusual bottle profiles, multi-piece sets, and oddly proportioned compacts all included.

Can I combine features from different cosmetic box styles?

Yes — a custom build lets you mix and match freely. You might want a magnetic-closure lid normally seen on palette boxes paired with a foam insert built for glass bottles, or a window cutout combined with a divided multi-cavity tray for a full set. None of our structural or finishing options are locked to one category.

Do I get to see a mockup before production starts?

Yes, every custom build goes through a design proof — either a flat digital layout or a 3D render, depending on complexity — so you can check dimensions, artwork placement, and finish before we cut a single sheet for production.

Is a fully custom cosmetic box more expensive than a standard style?

Not inherently. Pricing is driven by material, print complexity, and finish, not by whether the dieline is one of our named templates or built from scratch. A custom shape in lighter cardstock can cost less than a standard style in heavier rigid board.

What is the minimum order quantity and turnaround time?

Our MOQ starts at just 100 boxes, with no die or plate charges. Standard turnaround is 8–12 business days, and a printed sample is available for $24.99 before you commit to a full production run.

Product Description

Everything you need to know about our fully custom cosmetics box builds.

Not every beauty product fits neatly into a lipstick, jar, or palette template — and it shouldn't have to. Horizons Packaging builds fully custom cosmetics boxes starting from your product's actual shape, so the box adapts to the product instead of the other way around.

Start from Your Product, Not Our Catalog

If your product has an unusual bottle profile, a multi-piece gift set, or an oddly proportioned compact, we design the dieline around those exact dimensions rather than asking you to squeeze into a pre-set category.

Mix Structural Styles Freely

A custom build isn't locked to one format. Want a magnetic-closure lid normally seen on palette boxes paired with a foam insert built for glass bottles? A window cutout combined with a divided multi-cavity tray for a full set? None of our structural or finishing options are exclusive to a single category — you can combine them however your product needs.

A Mockup Before We Cut Anything

Every custom build goes through a design proof first — a flat digital layout for simpler shapes, or a full 3D render for more complex structures — so you can check dimensions, artwork, and finish before production starts, not after.

Custom Doesn't Mean More Expensive

Pricing is driven by material, print complexity, and finish, not by whether the shape is one of our named templates. A custom dieline in lighter cardstock can come in under a standard style built in heavier rigid board.

From Sample to Shelf
